There was recently a report linking Chinese hackers from the Peoples Liberation Army, hacked into various utility firms in the US and shut the lights off for many Florida residents.  Sadly the hackers weren’t even trying to shut the lights off, it was a mistake! 

Former Cyber Security Industry Alliance president Tim Bennett claims the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) tapped into the computer network of utility firms serving the northeastern U.S., based on revelations by U.S. intelligence officials to him. The breach caused the blackout in Michigan, Ohio, New York, and parts of Canada that affected 50 million people     

This is very scary to me. What else are these hackers doing that we don’t know about.  What’s next, they are gonna start turning our lights on while we try to sleep!  Full Story
